   (25-Sep-07 13:42)  Setting up IIS for downloading j2me jads and jars
If you are running and IIS server and you need to download a java application to your mobile, you need to setup the mime types for the jad and jar files.

Your wap page might look something like this:

<?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD XHTML Mobile 1.0//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/xhtml-mobile10.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head><title>Mobile Page</title></head>
<body>
<h2>MY application on YOUR cellphone</h2>
<ul>
<li><a href="MyApplication.jad">Latest release</a></li>
</ul>
</body>
</html>

To configure IIS, right click on the web site you are deploying your jad and jar file on, and choose "Properties".
Open the "HTTP Headers" tab, and click the "MIME Types" button.
Click on the New... button, and create 2 entries:

Extension: jad
Content-type: text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor

and

Extension: jar
Content-type: application/java-archive

Restart the website, and you are all set!
